    Default Sponsorships

I see a number of people seem to have their cars sponsored by different companies on here...and although I have a general idea what exactly does being sponsored mean? I am very interested in getting my car sponsored but I am not sure how to get the process started...any tips? I know that most of these companies are out of florida, but I feel that's y I could be such a good sponsor..I might take some heat for this from everyone in florida but in the tuner world you guus have never seen new york haha all we do is cars out here man...id get more sales than the company haha

Honestly MOST of the major motor companies are also out in California. Sponsorship is kind of for a car that will be used to give the company major exposure. A race car or show car would be a good platform for them to demo products on. If it's just your daily driver then it would prove a lot more difficult to get "sponsored".

Just work on your proposal and writing skills and you have to look at it as what can you offer them. They'll return the favor with discounts on merchandise. Not always free.

Yea your right, ill get it done eventually though...I'm not even looking for free stuff though, an ideal situation would be discounted products and when people ask which is every single night ill give them a card with a little discount for themselves....I literally go to a meet every single night no exaggeration it would be so simple to get these guys on the site...looks like I've got some work to do lol

I can give you all the ins and out of sponsorship. You're basically selling yourself, with your car as somewhat of an extension of you. Think of it like this, if Nike throws some shoes at a pro athlete, then people that see that guy on TV, or his new shoe add, or playing his sport, they'll spend money with Nike.

So in my case, I have this car in the shop right now, and I'm throwing parts at it, and lining up more parts from other companies. The more companies I get to develop parts, and work with me to build up this guys car, the more we all stand to gain. My particular guy is being approached by Hyundai Dealers to help them get vendor accounts with manufacturers that have worked with him to make new parts. He is the connection between manufacturer and the Dealership, as well as other tuners, which means if he thinks it'll be a good turn out, he can tell his buddies to all cruise into some dealership on a certain date and have a weekend meet. He lines up some vendors to come show up with parts for those cars, do some demos, bring their show cars, and everyone enjoys an afternoon with friends, cars, and some good food.

Do you see how much potential that little picnic presents? Put it this way, THAT is why I sponsor this dudes car, not just cause its new and I want to make parts for it. I sponsor HIM, and his car is the tool he uses to make it worth my effort. Does that help at all? The next part of it to understand is your sponsorship proposal that you send to companies. You basically make your pitch, and sell yourself and what you can bring to the table for them. If they think you'll be an asset to the company and spark some good business (which = $$$) then they hook you up. Just like a Resume, your proposal should be on point, and void of any BS you can't deliver on.

Yea that helps a lot..I had no idea it was such a serious business transaction lol maybe that's not what I'm looking for after all...what I was looking for is get someone a sale..and get a discount on my next buy from that sale...but I geuss that's what employees are for lol
