Sux for u. I was driving around in Boston snowstorms in my FWD civic and skidded on ice patches, resulting in ripped front and rear bumpers. I'm so glad I don't have to worry about that anymore, especially driving a genesis. Do u have snow tires?
I live in north nj and we just got hit with a big snowstorm, and had to close up my job. I get around not bad and then came the god awful hills! This car wuld not budge, so you can get around in rwd as long you're not in hilly areas, because mine didnt move up those at all

go there
Or just chains...
But in jersey... we hardly get this much snow... so really not worth getting snow tires or chains...
OK, I live in Florida now but I grew up in Illinois and I really need someone to explain to me why you can't drive in snow in a RWD Coupe? If you are trying to do that with the Summer Performance tires OK I realize they really suck, but I always drove RWD cars and trucks and never had a problem in snow with the proper tires (even all season tires will work but they are not as good as a dedicated snow tire). So whats the deal here with the Gen Cpe?

Same here, my winter beater is a 2001 dakota v6 2wd. The problem is the tracks come with summer rubber and your just not going anywhere in the snow with them. Then you have the combination of a wide tire with a short side wall that does not help, I havent driven one but im sure even the 18" are hurt a little by this. If you have a appropriate tire you should have no problem![]()
You're right, nothing special about the RWD Coupe...When I started driving there was no FWD, AWD, ABS or any of that fancy shit, so after having been
spoiled that last few decades or so with all of the above, its just an adjustment going back to your roots...can be done, just more of a pain in the ass, and sometimes, depending on weather conditions, not worth taking her out..
