I did my headlights & Tail lights with a commercially available film made for the purpose. I can't tell you it was the best film because it is the only film I've tried.

Let me say one thing about tinting the lights on the GC,........ I hope you're a very patient person.

One more thing, you might want to investigate the legal aspects of covering any vehicle light in Florida.

    Hey there!

I've also used some commercial tinted vinyl to do the tail lights and it is a tricky job for first timers due to the shape and contour of the genesis coupe tail lights.

If you have the money Lamin-x has a pre-cut solution available. Also if you want a very professional look you can hire a paint shop to do it typically for maybe $100-$150?

Also I see you are from Orlando! Would you be coming to our January 9th meet in West Palm Beach? Theres going to be tons of modded coupes out there for you to get some inspiration and ask them how they did theirs.

Let me know if I should add you to the RSVP list!

you can use nightshade and after it dries wet sand and polish them you can get them to come out mint. i would recommend using a polish wheel. but also you can go to a body shop and have them tint the clear coat and spray it on the lights this comes out mint i had it done to my 07 altima i would personally go that route or use a tint overlay

I only know of one person who tried to use nightshade and it came out pretty awful, she ended up replacing them with black bezels LED tails because even after taking them to two dif pro paint shops they couldn't get them to come out looking nice..
    Just a warning.

I had the same shop that tinted my windows do a vinyl overlay on my tails and it was only $70 for the set.
Unfortunately I just got the superlux tails so no I have to decide what to do. May be interested in a direct swap for untinted OEM so someone doesn't have to mess with it..

If nothing else, atleast the vinyl is removeable if you change your mind about the look or want to resell and they don't like it.
