Thread: Faster throttle response anyone???

They posted on another forum a while back, seemed liek a great product, but it doesn't actually improve your power, so most people prefer a real tune, but it did sound like this works well for what it is.

Edit: I thought it was quite a bit cheaper though.. Like $200US or something?

doing this mod is a lot like putting a short shifter in ur car, it doesnt add power but it cuts ur shifting time. This shaves 0.5 sec on your acceleration time and if your into drag racing you kniw thats a lot of time

True, but it's $400 list so for $300 more get poweraxel and improve everything

Ya the poweraxel flash is amazing take it from me..... I wound if the sprint booster would work with the poweraxel flash

Someone correct me if im wrong... but all this does is change the throttle response alittle... so if you have 50% throttle in it sends to the ECU that its at 75% instead. Giving it more of a parabolic curve then a exponantal curve... This could be done just by putting your foot down alittle more... Plus it should work with a poweraxel flash the same way it would work with stock. Tho poweraxel might change this curve a little too so it might make it alittle too routy... Anyway it seems to me like it just gives the feeling of more power with no added proformance. For 300 bucks thats a little insane. If this does something more then what I just stated please let me know...

O according to there site too they say it will cause it to kick in earlier with less throttle movement... this will actualy be a bitch for most manual drivers. Dont need to me just tapping your throttle and raising RPMs between shifts...

It also says right on their website that it WILL NOT reduce your 0-60 time or your 1/4 mile, supposedly it just makes the car more fun to drive (read: the gas pedal becomes more sensitive)

Yep Full Throttle is still Full Throttle... I would pay 50 bucks at most for this... not 300!

interesting, way over priced though.

Honestly if someone can get me a pdf or some kind of schema to how that throttle cable works. I could make one of these for like 30 bucks... All it is is a voltage modifier. So that when it gets x it sends y and y is just a little higher then x. But im not sure how you get the data from that line.
