Snow Storm

So today is our first day of snow and its a storm warning. My normal 40 minute drive to work took about 80. Starting out at my house it was a mixture of slush and ice since it had been raining for the last hour. Getting near work there was thunder and lighting but it was snowing pretty heavily. Only a few roads I turned onto had been plowed which meant I had to drive threw a foot of snow that had been plowed into my lane.

Overall the car felt pretty light and slid quite easily but I wasn't worried about losing control. This is my 1st RWD car so it might just take some getting used to but I do plan on putting some bags of sand in the truck to help.

Be safe out there. Now that I live in Florida I don't EVER see snow but it reminds me of my childhood growing up in Minnasota. COLD COLD.

I'll be safe, just used to driving AWD or FWD in the winter so I'll need to adjust.

Crazyness. I wish we had one week of snow like that down here, no more than a week though.

YIKES!! The only "good" thing I see about that is it looks like there wasn't much other traffic on the road for you to contend with.
But I still find that scary! Yea, be careful & safe.

Wasn't to busy but there was a few guys in trucks and semi's flying by me at 120 which can be scary. Normally thats my speed in good weather but today I averaged 70-80.

i was gonna drive my gen coupe this morning but decided not to...didnt wanna risk it lol cuz i didnt hav winter tires....instead my dad gave me a ride in his volvo xc90 to school...

yeah I saw on the news today that Ontario got hit pretty bad, the RCMP are saying that if you can avoid going out you should. Haven't got too too much snow here yet but the -30 to -40 nights are hard on the car.. it forgets things like the time when it gets too cold.. odd, never seen a car do that before.

we got hit pretty bad up in ontario last week... 2 days before i picked up my winter tires, the genesis was almost a write off going 20 km/h... very lucky i slid to a slow steady stop before going into oncoming traffic :S
