Default So, How Is The Coupe In The Snow?

I'm talking about reasonable snow, like 2 to 6 inches,
not what our Northern Brothers and Sisters endure...

I know that RWD cars tend not to handle it as well as FWD,
but I came up on RWD, so that in and of itself is no big deal...
Reason I'm asking, is that I just looked out my window here in
the PRNJ and saw the white stuff accumulating....

I also know that the Coupe came out last Spring, so not a lot of winter
history, but some of you may have gottten it before me...
    Anyone have any Coupe-specific experiences?

get better tires... stock tires arn't bad if you have the 18's but 19's are useless in snow. I cruise through about 2-3 inches right now and you do get a bit of overpower at the rear causing some lateral movement but nothing outragous if you keep it in check. You have a LSD so that should really help with that.

Adding weight is a good idea. I wanted to put in my old sub but I won't fit in my trunk. Plus I need room for my snowboard.

you could always do pocket subs. Mazda's and Scions do it OEM where they put the subs in the little spots that pretty much nothing can fit in. But on the Gen's driverside it's got the emergency fuel cap pull.. so unless you rig your sub to move easy it'll cover that up.

Up where you live Coupegirl, that makes sense, since snow is a given...We don't get enuff snow down here in the PRNJ to make that a practical idea....in fact, last 4 years, ever since I bought a snow blower, haven't had enuff white stuff to bother about, but the forecasts are for somewhat more this year, but what do those Farmers who put out the Almanac know anyway?
Whatever the handling I will learn to deal with it, and suspect that it is just the usual RWD problems, but the putting more weight in the trunk suggested by some of the other posts seems a sound idea....

yeah, that's the problem with RWD in snow, hitting the gas.....
it's the complete opposite of the ususal FWD cars where you
get "torqe steer" pulling you to the left,
while when you slide out with a RWD, you slide out to the right,
and that happens on RWD even with LSD....
