Default Question for the dealers on here about the rspec.

Is it possible to add navigation or proximity keys to the rspec model? Theses are 2 things it be hard to put in after market and that are lacking from the rspec...

All coupe models are set. There aren't any options to speak of

from what I've read, all 2.0 models share the same harness and all 3.8's have their own. You should be able to add a proxy key but it's cutting into your "crash pad" and getting a lot more than just a button and a keyfob.
OEM nav... I dunno.. but you can always look into the upper deck double din mod and make your own.

Well I can get a 2.0 Track with both navi and proxy key... Just trying to save some money... Cuz Im gonna replace the spoiler and I like the black interior peices better... etc... so like rspec with proxy key and navi would be perfect for me... but I guess if not Ill just get the track and try to sell what I wont need... There has been some delays on starting my new career so my purchases has been delayed hopefuly not to long.

    RSPEC + Navi = Why?

Seriously the RSPEC is meant to be stripped down probably even further than Hyundai already did. There's not much of a reason to get it unless you plan on making it a track car in my opinion. If you want the full sportiness plus the luxury features go with the Track. It's not all that much more and it would probably cost you more to add those features back in to your coupe in the future.

If you want the interior trim pieces of the Rspec and thats a major point for you, get your dealer to swap the pieces or order you a set and have them priced in. I'm just gonna paint mine haven't decided what colour yet though,.

I was wondering if I could find away to tint the brushed metal to kinda darken it and make it kidna antiqued or gunmetaled... And it isnt that big of a deal... I was just curious. Track it is then... And anyone intrested in the parts Im gonna take off I'll be sure to post them whenever that time comes around.

PM me with a list of stuff you wanna part with, specially if you're looking at changing seats or pretty much any other interior part.

I've been looking into how to tint the interior pieces as well, was fooling around in a Koup SX and they have a really nice satin aluminum style interior instead of all this bright stuff.

the awnser is NO....the proximity key uses more then just a new key...and the body control modules that are needed would be way TOO much to buy afterwards. not to mention different handles and i'm sure the door harhness is different as well.

if you want navi look at poweraxels nav unit...that seems like a nice option if you want to save your cash from the finance department...not to mention its in the right spot!

Sure you can have navigation in a Rspec...

    1) Buy genesis coupe R spec
    2) Drive gen coupe to Best Buy or other electronics realtor
    3) Grab Tom Tom or Garmin of your choice
    4) Purchase at cash register
    5) Spend money saved on mods!!

Good luck with whatever model you choose
