Uummm....it's thanksgiving.... Dealerships are closed.
Going in for oil change today at 25,000KM and looking to address the following issues. Hopefully all goes well.
1) ECU Update/Reflash? (Addresses possible rev hanging and other performance improvements)
2) Downshifting into 1st from a slow roll is very rough (more apparent when engine is cold)
3) Stereo issues:
> Press a button and the response is delayed for 5-15 seconds
> Sometimes when a song changes the display doesn't update (if I turn off/on or change volume it will refresh and show correctly)
> iPod might randomly stop playing and search for device for 1-3 seconds, same with XM (This will also drop Bluetooth connection until car is turned off and back on)
> Stereo might not turn on, have to turn on/off the car
> Bluetooth will randomly loose connection
> Tracks on MP3 CD's will skip or pause every few seconds (Regular CD's are fine)

yeah our Turkey day is in October before Halloween.
Preston, I've been having similar issues with my radio, haven't seen a TSB for it yet but my mechanic (cause my dealership doesn't have a service manager right now) says that there is a headunit update as well as a bluetooth update, just release of the needed disc's seem to be staggered through Canada so my dealership doesn't have it yet.
You might have the same tranny issue that loads of other people are having, but into first while moving is usually difficult usually to prevent you from breaking stuff.

1) They found the service bulletin after a few minutes of looking, need me to come back and have it reflashed
2) Didn't have much time to look at it, it was the end of the day and really only had time for the oil change
3) Determined we need to replace the stereo, have ordered a new one.

Sorry to hear you have so many issues with your audio head unit. I don't use mp3 or i-Pod bur I DO HAVE the same problem with the Bluetooth. It will work fine for a week or two then just drop the connection. The dealer reflashed/updated the audio head unit but that did not help the Bluetooth problem at all. Once the connection is dropped the only solution is to (1) Erase the device from the phone, (2) turn the phone off, remove and replace the battery, (3) Delete the phone from the Genesis Coupe, (4) turn the coupe off then on and try to pair the devices again. ( I say try because there must be some magic involved in getting them to communicate with each other and this proceedure only works occasionally).
The service tech tried to tell me my phone was at fault because he could connect his phone to my coupe but could not connect mine. I had my phone checked at the providers facility, replaced the battery and was advised there was nothing wrong withmy phone. Except it will only occasionally connect with the Bluetooh in my Gen Coupe. I went back to the dealer and was told there was nothing else they could do and there must be a problem with my phone. I sat in the Service managers office and searched and found about 7 Computers and 12 or more printers or other bluetooth devices in the building available for pairing but still could not recognize the Gen Cpe parked with the engine running about 8 feet away. Several days later while waiting for my wife at the beauty shop I tried again and connected the Bluetooth without a hitch.
If you have better results or find that only a new stereo unit will cure this problem pleas let us know. In the meantime I am going to write customer service in California and try to get something done.
