DIY Repair for Genesis Coupe Wing Emblem Bubbling Discoloration
Hey all,
I know many of you have installed the custom korean Wing Emblems for your Hyundai Genesis Coupes and if you have experienced a similar situation as me this little guide will show you how I fixed the issue at least temporarily.
The emblem has been installed on my coupe for about 9 months and parked in the hot direct Florida sun for most of the day. The result looks like this.
Now the trick for my fix was to grab a thin flat edge (screwdriver or knife) and use it to pry the plastic bubble layer off of the badge itself. You want to seperate the actual badge piece and the plastic overlay. Here you see the piece removed and the final result.
Now it looks as good as new! Not sure how it will hold up to the weather but the material seems good enough to stand up to some water/sun.
