Thanks coupegirl! did you break off the outer ring first and then pull back the part held on by the tabs before crushing them--seems to me this would work, or use some other technique? . if there's one thing i've learned over the years, while things may seem easy and straight forward, usually they are not, and you get bit in the ass...nice to hear that the brute force approach will work....btw, nice ride!

Thanks coupegirl and mags...i'm still awaiting delivery of my wings...now, since i seem to be with the "brute force" team, will the same approach work on the rear emblem? I don't see why not, but the video "how to" on this site showed a lot of what I hope is unnecessary work....once you get the old rear badge off, who needs the teeny tiny screws anyway?

for the back you have to remove the screws and pry the H off with heat and a credit card. I did not put the screws back as they are too short.

Thanks coupegirl...I figured that I'd have to use the heat and/or fishing line method to break the adhesive, but since the badges I am getting from Import Shark don't have screws, but simply adhesive, I'm thinking maybe I can skip the unscrew part and rip it off....I can't see a downside, but since you've done it you may know something I don't...

i seem to remember a backing plate on the rear. the screws were easy to remove with a magnetic screwdriver. i definately recommend removing the screws!
