Thread: Vis Carbon fiber hood finally installed

What was the difficulty level on the install?

Very nice! I think the title should've been "ViS Carbon fiber hood" but either way that thing looks sweet on your coupe! Overall it is really starting to become one of the best Nord grey coupes out there. Next up wheels?

The difficulty was 1-10 , 10 being the hardest . it was a 0.

Me and my wife put it on in about 11 minutes.

btw there is 2 bolts on each hing holding the hood up, then you disconnect the strut with a bolt - easy as pie

I love VIS cf hoods , I' m thinking of getting the terminator model for my gen.
Can you tell me if you get rain on the motor from those giant air intake and is the latch safe ,cause they say you should use hood pins

The latch is made of metal, so its like OEM and the hood sits secure, so hoodpins arent needed, unlesss you want the piece of mind that you have them, but i really didnt want to cut into the hood if the latch works fine :-) Also it has rain gutters so the vents are functional but diffuses the water.

thank's 4 the info now i got 2 get 1......but it' Xmas and i have to get presents for every one Xmas was more fun when i was a kid

haha thats why for xmas i asked for my hood + intercooler :-D
