    Default Front License Plate Removal

    Hey Everyone,

Since I'm in Oklahoma now, I've went ahead and removed my front plate but the stock license plate holder is still there. From what I saw, there were 2 screws outside in plain sight but after undoing those, it still wouldn't come off. Not sure if there are extra screws behind the bumper or what. Anyone else have issues with this? or know how to remove it? Thanks.

The plate holder is hooked into the bumper opening. After the screws, you need to kinda pull it away and push down... slightly rotating the holder in towards the opening in the bumper. Take a look into the opening and you'll figure out how it comes off.

there should be a clip that reaches around the bottom. I live in Sask, which doesn't have plates so mine was never installed. I got one with the car but I seem to have misplaced it but if I find it I'll let you know how to take it off.

Ok, thanks, I'll try that...scared that I might have to take my bumper off cuz it's not the stock grill.

I think the directions with that lower grill is to actually trim the plate holder.

You should have the 2 screws that hold the plate (and frame) and then 2 screws that hold on the holder. Then the holder should just come off. If not, the dealership may have used something else to secure the holder. You may have to remove the bumper but it's not difficult to do.
