Oh don't get me wrong, I'd love to spend time with my car washing it, I just don't have a hose which makes it a bit tough. They have one of those washes with a wand and brush here so I'm gonna try that tomorrow with just the wand and then try detail spray after I dry it off. Hey Megs, do you clay before the Ice?

Never used a clay bar before but the purpose of a clay bar is to remove contaminates like pollutants on the car thus being an abrasive it will dull your clear coat if over used. But if you want to use it, clay bar first than wax to seal. I use Ice wax because its a none abrasive safe for clear coats. Clay bars are usually a twice a year thing, waxing I do every month.

Ok cool, thanks. It's been rainy here lately so haven't been able to wash it. Hopefully it'll clear up soon.

Whatever you do, think carefully before you let some group of corner kids looking for high school money wash your car.
They use the same sponges & rags on the paint that they use on the wheels & inside the wheel wells.
They may get the surface dirt off, but they also might scratch the heck out of your paint.

Oh ya, I know better than that. I just get confused since I thought washing weekly at an auto place and then self drying was taking care of the car but now that I have a new car and actually researched some, looks like automatic scratches paint.

In other news, the rain continues in central Texas so still can't wash it. =(

I've almost given up... my hood is torn to shit with rock chips, I've got two rock chips in my windscreen. Every time I put an ounce of love into the paint.. something hurts it. Thinking of just getting a carbon fiber hood, trunk and blacking out my roof. To fix the rock chips in my front facia I'll just get the Cuper front end and never drive it.
