im gonna go for the 8000K H11b's and 48SMT Switchbacks!

i would say go with 8000k. it won't blind people cause genesis' come stock with projectors. i think. and i've read on forums, that police don't have the equipment nor the interest to pull someone over just for 'bright' lights.

and H11b and H11 is the same i think >.>

If the GC already comes with HID's, shouldn't it be a quick change from the stock HID bulbs to the D1S bulbs from DD? I am looking to swap mine soon.

D1S is the size bulb from the OEM HID's

likei have a track model so if I wanted to get 6 or 8K bulbs to replace the OEM 4300K's I would buy D1S' instead of H11's like those of you whose coupes did not come with HID's ;)

if you have OEM HID's then yeah, just buy replacement bulbs from DD.

For those with OEM non-HID the bulb is H11b. It is almost exactly a H11 but there is a slight difference in the tab that makes it so you have to slightly modify the bulb to make it fit. DD's H11b's fit with no mod required.

I finally got my replacement switchbacks today, installed them and tested, they don't blow fuses regardless of what other lights are on, so it's safe to say, the 60-SMD bulb version is just too much current for the system. The 48's are a bit different, but I think they look good. I'm making up a video as soon as it's dark enough to clearly show HID's beside the switchbacks. It should be up tonight but I'm going to post it on a switchback thread since it doesn't really have to do with HID's.
