Art of speed emblems corroding

i havent experienced a problem yet, but since i have seen many other cases where people report them getting unremovable spots i wanted to do everything i could to prevent it... i actually use turtle wax on the car so i will prob just use that. thx!

D) i would assume that our emblems would be considered dark chrome(gun metal). we
don't drive our car in the winter so i don't think salt is the problem. we did get spots on
our badges though. Glenn used Mother's Chrome polish and very carefully polished them out.
maybe there's something in the municipal water supply???

if it was the towns water supply things like pots and pans used to boil water would also get a white residue. If you're experiencing that.. then maybe.

I really think its just the chrome overlay is defective on some of them. I've seen things about this for a while...pre-winter too. No salt on the roads.

I just got an Art of Speed emblem today, it's the dark chrome one and it's already peeled around the edges. Started contact with the seller (ebay guy) to get it resolved.. I keep buying crappy products lately..

G) thats shitty. the set we got came in a box with korean instructions, decals and the centers had to be put in.
is this the same as yours?

yup. exact same except I only bought one, didn't want the second as I'm debadging the front.

I sent the crappy one back, and got a new one, regular chrome. Installed it today and then washed my car.. but I noticed water on the inside of my trunk.. was I suppose to try and screw the replacement on? nothing would line up.

ah well.. I'm not going to peal it off.. couldn't line it up to start with no sense retrying and screwing everything up. Just put some water tape over the holes in the back I guess.
