You dont need to worry about supressing anything in court, as long as you dont drive with illegal lights on WHILE on public roads. If you're in a parking lot standing next to your car, you can be lit up so bright they can see you from a mile away and you're still ok. Just not while driving the car. Main reason is that if you look blue while on the road at night, you're basically using the same color that cops do. Cops are the only types of vehicles to use Blue lights, Red too. Ambulances you Red. No other vehicle can use those lights. It helps everyone distinguish when its time to get the hell out of the way. If you see anything not white or amber in your rear view mirror, you know you need to pay attention. Having said all the crap, you can have blue and red galore with a big ass switch that says "ILLEGAL COLOR LIGHTS" mounted right in the middle of your dash, and its perfectly legal... as long as you're not driving around with that switch in the ON possition. If its off, no need to hide it, or worry about a copper seeing it.

The only reason I even bother posting this, is that too many people get the impression that its illegal to add lights to their cars, lights that they wish they could buy, but are afraid of getting in trouble for them. If you feel that having these lights installed on your car will get you in trouble, then dont worry about it. Just install any and every non street legal color with a switch, and use them only when its ok, like parked in a parking lot while you hang out with your friends and show off a bit. That's no problem at all. And for the most part, modifying the outside appearance of your car in any way is begging for more attention from cops, so just make sure when you go visit your connect, you take your GFs stock Camry, lol.

haha driving a GC is begging for attention from cops.. I've got the only GC in my town, well actually, my section of the province, and they follow me around like I'm on fire. Just waiting for me to light it up, sucks to be them.. I've done every mod the legal way.

Here in MD the automobile restriction laws are ridiculous! If one has an LED kit anywhere on or in their car the switch must be mounted in the trunk so that the vehicle operator cannot operate the lights while driving, IE: turning them off when a cop is near. My friend got pulled over because the light from a blue LED was shining through the back window. Here any kind of engine mod is liable to get your car searched and possibly impounded for illegal modification of vehicle and intent to street race. Le sucks.
