DIY/How-To Install
SuperLux Hyundai Genesis Coupe LED Tail Lights
By: Casey McCane
Tools Needed:
8mm Wrench
Time Needed:
Approx. 30 Minutes
Step 1
Open your SuperLux Tail Light box and verify that everything arrived safely and accurately.
The two all new LED lights are neatly and securely packed from SuperLux. The box should include LH and RH tail lights along with two of the relay resistor boxes.
Step 2
Open the trunk of your Hyundai Genesis Coupe and locate the removeable interior panel pieces behind each of the two tail lights.
Remove them to gain access to the rear of the tail lights.
Step 3
Locate and disconnect the main electrical connection from the back of your tail lights.
Step 4
Locate the FOUR 8MM metallic screws/nuts that secure your tail lights. Remove them CAREFULLY and be sure not to let them fall down into the interior paneling of your trunk area.
Step 5
The tail light should now be unsecured. Carefully pull them from the back and away from the car to free them from their position. You should now have a completely detached stock tail light in hand. Place this in a secure location and grab the matching SuperLux LED tail light to be installed.
Step 6
Carefully install the new SuperLux LED tail light in the reverse order you used to remove the stock assembly. The new SuperLux lights use the exact same sliding tab and FOUR 8MM nuts to be secured. Make sure also while installing the new light to feed the new electrical cabling through the cutout in the trunk area. Once test fitted on the car you can continue. Don't worry too much if the lights appear to not be fitting flush. This will be fixed when we re-thread the FOUR 8MM nuts.
Step 7
Make sure you have tightened up the four 8MM nuts for the tail light gradually on each as you go. I recommend doing each one hand tight first and then going around clockwise and making them more tight. That way you do not have one side that is super tight while the other side is loose. This could cause them to not be straight.
Next we will connect the all new relay resistor boxes to the small pronged connector as shown below.
Lastly reconnect the main power plug from your stock tail lights to the new SuperLux tail lights. Tuck everything away and replace the panel piece to close it all up. Repeat the entire process on the second tail light side.
The total install is rather easy and you can test your lights out once everything is plugged in and wrapped up. If you have any questions on the install please feel free to leave a comment or send me a PM.

Looks OEM quality. Very nice.
I add my pics here just for fun (we don't need a million threads on this.
Anyways, pics.
Interesting warning labels.
Pictures really can't show the beauty and quality of these lights..
With flash..
And for those that have speculated:
Made in China.
But!
The reverse light is NOT LED?!
WTF?
I can't confirm what size bulb it is, as I'm not very familiar with the diff sizes.
This location seems best for the fan, I'll use 3m to attach to prevent any rattling.
Thanks for viewing!

Great addition my friend! Looks like you are right about the reverse bulb hrmmm. I'll have to check if mine are like that too. Good spot for the resistors.

They are all like that, it has been brought up several times on other forums.
And superlux/SFR have yet to comment on the bulb size, it's been asked though.

My question is:
Why don't these companies provide these instructions themselves and put them in with the product? There have been other kits that some people have had trouble installing, and they have to rely on forum members to help them out. If you happen to be good at this sort of thing, maybe you don't need step-by-step instructions, but it is apparent that there are people (myself included) that need help for projects like this.
Granted, when the product is coming from Asia and selling to several different countries they might not be able to do every language, but I would think a set if English instructions would cover a good portion of their overseas customers.
(forgive me if instructions ARE included, but from what I can tell, that doesn't appear to be the case)
