Nice work, should come in handy for a lot of people!
I just posted this up cause I'm doing a custom set of lights for my buddy who's car is in the shop right now for tooling the Vertical Doors. I figure while his car is off the road, we'll do some other custom work, like lighting in the headlights and under the doors.
We're going to add LEDs under his door panels that light up the ground at night when the doors open up. We're also going to do some Angel Eyes, and other LEDs in the headlights, so I tore the first light apart last night and filmed it. Be warned, this video isn't edited for time, so you'll hear and see about 1 minutes worth of info, and the other 3 minutes I'm just mumbling to myself and working around the light to safely and gently open it up. Keep in mind this was my first shot at pulling the Gen Coupe lights apart.
I popped them in the oven that was preheated to 250º. I baked them for 4 minutes, then pulled them out, inspected them, and saw that the bottom of the unit still need more time to heat up the seal. At that point I put them back in for 2 more minutes, and that's where this video picks up at. I'm sure this will be good to see for someone who's never done it, or only seen time edited videos that only show the good parts. This is exactly what you'd be doing for 4 minutes while you work on your lights at home, in your kitchen, just like I did it.
The result is that I can add angel eyes, and custom lighting if I want, but better yet, I clear cornered the headlights in about 10 seconds after I had the bezel pulled outCake work. I'll film that when I do the second light, and I'll time edit as well so you wont have to endure anymore mumbling, lmao.
Enjoy:

Here's a couple images of the headlight removal from the car:
This is one of the two screws that holds the front lens on the headlight unit (aside from the actual seal).
This mount actually screws into the headlight, so if you manage to break it, you wont need new headlights, just a new mount (assuming of course Hyundai sells it).
The two top bolts come off, and then the only thing holding the light to the car is this:
If you take something to squeeze this clip out, it makes life much easier than being sloppy and just cutting it off:

Yes. Very handy. Thanks!!!
So for your clear corners, you just remove the orange lens and don't replace it?

How do you re-seal it?

Yeah for the Clear Corners that's all you do, unless you have one of the clear lenses. I'm thinking of mounting some sort of light there, just haven't figured out what yet. When you have all your work done, and you've made certain that the lens has no dust or anything in there except whats supposed to be, you just push the two sides together, and repeat the heating process. I like to heat them for about 4 minutes at 250º, then take them out and work your way around the tabs, making sure everything is lined up how it was before you began. If it just doesn't feel like the seal on the bottom is hot enough, you'd be wise to give it just a little more time in the oven to loosen up. You'll know you've got the seal right when you push the lens back in and hear little tiny pockets of air snapping out. Some people get all crazy with extra sealant, but personally I think that comes out nasty, looks modded (which I dont like) and it can be completely avoided by just taking your time and doing it right.
Plus, seriously, worst case scenario, you get some condensation right? Pull out that 10mm socket, pull the top two bolts and you've got the headlight off the car again, really kinda painless there. A nice trick if you ever do get condensation from a bad seal job, is to take off a cap from the back of the unit, and just use a blow dryer on low aimed into the opening. With as easy as it is to pull these lights off the car, I'm guessing after a little more time, everyone will have modded their lights in someway.
G) i dont think the removel of the reflector is a good thing.
if you take it out you have no front night marker .
what about parked at night???

RWDcoupe.com decals and ghost eye lids
underbody lights (blue), DD stage 2 led (blue), FlyRyde blue and white angel eyes.

^at your own risk.
However, I just noticed yesterday that there is a light bulb in with the reflector (duh moment.. *sigh*) so I'd really like to get that light working with the turn signal, I can't believe they didn't do that from the factory..
A possible solution for night parking might be to add some silver reflective tape on the inside.
Or somewhere else (fenders, front bumper corner, etc) in any color you want really.

The back corner reflectors have lights in them too, I replaced mine with bulbs from DD. (194 bulbs if anyone is interested.) For whatever reason my corner bulb holders were browning.. didn't like that since obviously it was over heating so I replaced them.
