I don't know what info you are waiting for regarding the shocks. Like I said, I installed them & they are plenty strong to lift the doors. Any stronger & they would be too hard to pull down when seated inside the car.
I do have a concern that the shock is a bit too long though & the length causes a LOT of fooling around to get things to fit. If the shock was 1/4" shorter the installer would save 2 hours install time per door. I spent the majority of my time adjusting the hinge to make up for the shock being just that 1/4" too long for a clean install. If the replacement shocks are shorter, I would pull apart my car & use them.

Here are a few photos of today's work.

    http://www.rwdcoupe.com/members/over...s-install.html

Sorry if some of them are a bit dark, the photographer wasn't bright enough to turn on the flash.
We completed everything except the passenger fender. I will finish that tomorrow.

Oh, and one more thing. The very important adjustment screw & the locking nut, you know that Allen screw that adjust the height of the door, is a special size, & hard to find...... well one of the hinges shipped without it.
So, we spent 3 hours driving a distance of about 75 miles & hit about a dozen shops before we found suitable replacement hardware.

I got a PM from him (Flyryde) & I am going to pull my car apart & put the correct shocks in as well. I don't want trouble later on down the road for using shocks that are not designed for the car.

Flyryde, tried to PM you but your PM box is full & not accepting new messages.
I received the package with the new shocks last night.
The adjuster screw/nut was not included in the package.
Would have liked to have received the adjusting hardware that was designed for this system rather than the makeshift stuff picked up at the local hardware store.
The CD was not in a jacket & is scratched all to hell. Not sure it"ll play but will find out later.
Also, I won't be installing the new shocks now for at least a couple of weeks as I am scheduled to work the next 2 weekends, & weekends are the only time I have access to the workshop. I'll get those shocks to you as soon as I can get back on the car.

Hey Coupegirl, have you heard anything from Chris at Flyryde regarding the 590lb shocks?
I've left him a message in the forum & a couple of PM's but haven't heard a word back.
I'm trying to get up with him & arrange for these shocks to arrive when I'm off & able to install them.

Hey, got both of you guys covered. Hey Oversoul do you have a restricted number? I've missed a couple calls with no call back. I have a padded envelope with your screws in the mail, and a 3rd box headed to Coupegirl up north today for his 590s he ordered. I'll edit this post in a sec to lay out the fiasco this has been for me, lol.

Did you send the adjusting hardware & the heavier shocks like you sent Coupegirl? (the 590's).
I don't want to install these 510's in my car if they didn't hold the doors in Coupgirl's car.
Please send the heavier shocks asap so they arrive before my next weekend off or it'll be another month before I can install them.
    Thanks.........
