    Hi all,

I picked my up Grey 3.8 on Tuesday.

I'm in Waterloo but regularly into TO.

If any of you have done some minor aesthetic stuff like badging/grills would be great to see what you've done. Also trade any local deals we come across... I can't wait to do window tinting in the spring.

    Cheers! Ian.

Hey guys, 2.0t in white owner here. Wondering, any of you guys have HID front lights installed? What's legal in our area? Can we go up to 8000k?

The DOT states HID's are legal so long as they meet these requirements:
    1) "vehicle's headlight assembly uses an appropriately designed projector lense (as opposed to a reflector)"
    2) "light produced must be of white in nature"
    3) "are properly aligned after installation"

Since there are only minor cosmetic differences between the OEM HID housing and the non-HID housing, the GC is classified as HID ready.
As long as you get good HID's without filters, they will produce white light, easy way to know if its "white" or not, take a piece of paper outside and shine the light on it.. if the page is blue, it's illegal.
With that in mind.. loads of OEM projector housings break that law since it turns the paper yellow.. but Canadian DOT permits only "White" "Yellow" or "Amber" to be emitted from the front of our vehicles.
The GC has no alignment for verticle.. so don't really worry about that part.

I have 6000k installed in mine and I get followed a lot but never pulled over. 8000k kit from DD shouldn't get you into trouble.

    Hope that helps!

Hey all, how are you guys doing? Quick question, maybe I could find some help. Just ordered the eibach pro kit, and the dealership wants about $400 for installation... :S Anyone got them installed? And if so, where did you get them installed and how much? If you don't mind me asking...

    Thanks!

Thanks coupegirl. Hey snoppy, what do you think about the HID conversion kits from Diode Dynamics Online Catalog - HID Lighting - hidkit ?
Should I get this at a 6000k brightness? Will they shine like the OEM's that come in the 3.8 models? I don't know what to do! I'm a newbie.....

    Hello fellow GTAers.

I am a prespective (well actually I have damn well decided on it) 3.8 GT (with Navi) owner in May. I was wondering how much can you guys bring the dealers down? And which dealerships were the most accommodating. I have been in to Future Hyundai and Mississauga Hyundai both seemed like pretty good places to start at. I am really trying to get the best deal possible so any help would be apprectiated.

I am by no means good at negotiating. What I did was go to one dealer and got a quote written up, then took it to another dealer and said "how can you beat this?". They couldn't drop the price on the car but they did give me an extra $1000 on my trade in.
