Thread: Tuning solution for you V6 guys... finally

So to educate someone who isn't so great with this stuff...what is that? ;)

This looks to be what the guys at RoadRaceMotorsports are using....

Might be what the RRM guys are selling as "Timing Controller". $329.00

Does the RRM box come with tuning software as well? This Zeitronix one says it does, allowing them to be adjusted...

How is a timing controller different than a tune?

RRM tunes their "Timing Controller" and then sells it. Looks like the Zeitronix one comes blank and lets you tune your own timing maps and maybe fuel maps and program it to the box. Probably NOT very good for someone like me who doesn't know how to tune that kind of thing.

lol, so not good for me. The thing that worries me about a tune is that they can see the flash count when you go for service.

According to PowerAxel, Hyundai doesn't have the ability to count the number of flashes so far.

Oh really? If that's true then if they come out with a self tune module like they have for the 2.0 then I'm getting one.

I can't say 100% for sure for the V6 since it uses a Delphi ECU isntead of Siemens, but they did say the 2.0T flashes can't be counted.
