Hyundai Genesis Coupe Rotrex Supercharger Kit Coming?

Hey guys,

I've been stumbling around the net for a while looking for a forced induction kit for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L. I came across a few photos from Rotrex which hint at a new Supercharger application being developed.

Rotrex 3881 supercharger, oil cooler, intake, aluminum bracket just a few of the components for the basic supercharger kit for a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

The kit features a C38-81 Supercharger capable of between 400-630hp

They claim a range of 400-630HP and 952cfm for their largest unit, the C38-81.

One thing I forgot to mention that some might not have noticed is that it looks like they have a custom Intake Manifold on there... not sure if it's necessary or not?

I see this being used as some nice surprised for people wanting to race what they think is a base 306 hp genesis... LOL.

Umm most likely it will be... Putting a super charger in a car is not a bolt on solution... you will have to do alot of work and alot of tuning to make that work. Also I would recommend new Pistons to for this. The 3.8 has a high compression ratio which is ment for an NA engine you might want a piston with alittle less compression for a forced induction set up.

This post was taken from Arvin@PowerAxel who is supposedly working with APG to develop this SC kit.

Needless to say, we get most hardware from APG Korea

Rotrex C38 from USA

Optional : Mahle 9:1 piston is option to purchase

Once combine everything, PA tune for USA cars

Price ? TBA....actually no idea to be exact and guessing $6k~7k at our cost. For first kit, there is always unexpected cost popping up later.

Time frame : 1~2 months vary by amount of time take to make hardware from Korea

500hp? Data won't be compatible to USA, so we need to start from scratch once all hardware installed.

Tensioner
Idle bearing

Optional : Water cooled induction is under Patent Pending by APG and will not include at this time.
Regular short intake ram type will be consider to be use in this kit.

Option : MAHLE 9:1 piston

PowerAXEL ECU tune~ under development

Using piggy back and low psi still make pretty good result as we heard from APG initial development stage in the past.
