Thread: stroker kit?

I've seen the Brian Crower stroker kit which also makes it a 4.2L I believe. Also the Brian Crower kit is the one used by Rhys Millen in his race Genesis Coupe which they then added a turbocharger to. Supposedly can make some serious horsepower and take high RPMs but the cost is astronomical for your average Joe.

Cost is about $5000-$6000

G6DA V6 Stroker Kits
The BC stroker kit for the Hyundai Genesis V6 G6DA Lambda engine incorporates a 93mm stroke, steel billet crankshaft. Depending on bore size that you decide, the BC kit will take you up to a 4.21L with a safe 98mm bore. The G6DA kit utilizes premium steel billet connecting rods. As usual, each BC kit features custom CP or JE pistons, wrist pins, and full ring pack. Big time horsepower and torque gains.

• BC 4340 billet steel crankshaft (93mm stroke).
• BC 4340 Sportsman (ARP2000) or Pro Series (ARP625+) H beam connecting rods.

if you had the cash flow by all means...you could easily build a 500whp beast....but if no cash...your beat.

Stroker kit alone though wont make you big HP right? I thought I read something like 350whp with just stroked motor and no other mods. But it should all gain pretty exponentially from there I'd imagine plus allow you to rev much higher.

Cause stock is around say 275 WHP.

275WHP/ 3.8L = 72.36WHP/Liter

4.21L * 72.36WHP = 304.67 WHP?


Thoughts?

depends on compression. IF they kept it the same then it should be somewhere around there or more with a tune.
