I know aftermarket autostarts can void warranty, that might be something to consider too. Don't you have pushbutton start?

I do actually have the push button start, but I named the thread incorrectly. It should have been named REMOTE START. I wanted to get the remote start installed, but I have to give up a key to do that. I did try ordering a spare key so I would have a extra, but unfortunately only two keys can be programmed to the GC at one time. This coming from the service dept of my dealership. I was hoping to do some interior mods, but may have to wait, now, because the remote start came with a two way system and better alarm system.

G) that can't be right, you need two keys to program a 3rd of 4th key. if you lost a key you would have a hard time programing a key. then you would have go to the dealer and have the car hooked up to a laptop.
but I could be wrong.

G) well Dana just told me that all keys have to done at the dealers. see just ask a locksmith....

Oooooo cheap shot there Glenn, yeah you can have more than 2 keys programed to the car. But I'm pretty sure all keys programed have to be done by a dealership, my neighbour is a locksmith so I'll ask him when I'm a bit more mobile

To install a remote start in a Genesis Coupe you simply need to buy the right bypass module. It will replace the keycode in remote starting mode.

You'll need an automatic transmission though.

If anyone needs to cars color codes to install just let me know...

Just found out that a new module, made in Canada, will allow remote start to be installed on the GC. It costs about $100, and should work with most remote start/alarm systems. Don't yet know all the particulars, but will post when I know more.

I saw a remote start module listed in Hyundai Accessories on one of the local dealership websites but not sure it applied to the GC. Pretty cool though.

Yes had a starter installed twomweeks ago and works perfectly, don't even have to bury a remote ithe car.
