Weight has nothing to do with top speed only acceleration... Figured I'd throw that out there... Top speed is pretty much HP/Revs and drag...

This guy using a supercharger and a GPS clocks 193mph, so drag isn't a problem for this car.

This guy using a basically stock 3.8 does 155mph (pretty much the same I did in my 2.0T) before his Korean limiter kicked in.

Well, weight does have SOME affect on top speed.

    ^ exactly right Codefox!
I had typed out a really long technical explaination but decided to scrap it since it was boring.

so... bare mins, the power required to propel an object of a defined mass twice it's velocity requires approximately four times the power.

so by that statement if it takes you 100hp to get to 100mph, it'll require 400hp to get to 200mph.

an example is the Bugatti Veyron, it requires 1001hp to reach 253mph, but only requires 80hp to do 60mph.

As long as you have enough HP to reach 88 mph you're fine

I think 150 is amazing.. who knows it may get a few more.. but honestly, from watching top gear.. those super and hyper cars have way more power. The Bugatti has a key you use which lowers the car down and pulls in the spoiler. I recall something like it needs 250HP to get it to 120 and 750 HP to get it from 120 to 243 MPH... I may be wrong but as one person mentioned, the faster you go the wind drag becomes a major issue. 150 is very fast, I have been up at those speeds and honestly, I find it way more fun in the handling... coming out of the corner on a clear road and just hitting it perfect... feeling that little slide.. then bam! your off. I have friends who all have way more expensive cars a Jag and Audi S4 and yes they drive amazing, but my 3.8 is to me way more fun. I could have purchased a G37 or an Audi, but the value fun ration is so much in favor of the GC.
