Good God guy... I already apologized to you...
I guess I misunderstood your first post... many new owners with little to no experience tend to relate to their last owned car which is not a smart thing to do. I apologize... but my argument was my contribution... hopefully you understand.
Does anyone else see anything wrong with what I have stated in this thread?

1st off... the injen, just barely came out in late jan. The injen did independent R&D the aem cooperated with hyundai on this matter. Your stupid lil washer fluid issue will need a new hose designed around the cai. Injen, aem, k&n all have had comparing issues in there 1st months. And I never seen any of these top 3 leave anyone high and dry.
2nd I was wondering why u chose to get over-emotional about this intake $h1t.
You are buying an AEM. So u need to feel good about your decision by having to put down other peoples preferences. Why not just say. I prefer AEM for the Gen. And don't take wat I said about the stillen submission. I didn't choose the stilllen over major issues. Difficult to install, removal of my front end. And serious hydro locking issues. I know with something as minor as a washer hose I can get injen to fix it or diy it, no issues.

You just really aren't sayin nothin except if I can save $30 bucks and have a guarantee that hyundai approves this part I rather take that one. A washer hose is a circumstance. Not a performance issue. And u had all those cars and u did all that stuff and can't DIY a fix for a hose? WoW! Incredible.

N no one was talkin civic or sentra comparo's I have an 08 altima 3.5se and an 09 infiniti G37s coupe that right now can run 4.9/13.4 sec fairly consistantly And I have done anything but the proper brake setup, proper lowering, alignment, tires, and intake. My altima has the same set up plus exhaust and it runs as fast as a V6 gencoupe. How my G n Altima is so fast with just an intake??? Proper break in techniques that go against the corny advice of the salesguy..

Aside from these cars I spoke of now I come from. 87 buick grand national, 93 mazda rx7(fully modded to the max) 98 nissan 240sx se, 98, nissan altima se, 06 monte carlo SS. Hated it n traded for an 06 infiniti G35 full exhaust/intake ecu mods... 2009, infinti G37s coupe suspension brake n intake, 08 altima 3.5se sedan susp. Int. Exh. Every car had a brake improvement I been dealing with imports for years. And all cars are different but I been dealing with these companies for a while now. I know they stand by there sh1t.

But it figures that someone cooming from the american car market would be so self righteous and narrow minded. THE INJEN AND AEM ARE BOTH EXCELLENT INTAKES.. YOUR CHOICE OF INTAKE WAS EXCELLENT. I'm HAPPY FOR YOU!.SATISFIED??? The injen gives out 1.5 extra hp. Its so minor but I choose to want the measely 1.5 horses. Jeez. And so far everyone on the gencoupe forum ain't worried about it. Ur the only one...
And its not ingen. Its injen. Get a grip.
I hope this guy doesn't go to the track and represent hyundai owners on track day... WoW!
    I can't believe this guy. I'm done.
Mr. Grynch is harmless, he just has a problem expressing himself. He is quick to apologize, as he has to me - IMHO, that is a good quility. But he appears to be apologizing too much, I just came accross this post and feel your frustration with the GRYNCH.. IMHO, Mr. Grynch needs to work on his communication skills.

    Hi Grynch,

I like you but you do have a way about you.

IMHO, it appears uou have a hard time being wrong. Even when you read my Dyno stats wrong, you admit it on one hand but "qualify" your comment with the comment about how red is normally HP and blue is Torque. Just simply say, I blew it. no qualification, no excuses, just "I blew it" you tend to get more respect that way. Also, try not to be so negative and skeptical, we are all here for fun. Being attacked, ridiculed or otherwise "poked" at by you is annoying. I can tell you'rea good guy, just work on your communication skills and IMHO, try humbling yourself now and then.

    All the best,

My intake is perfect for me. AEM... No problems?? just better performance... And I think people know you just can't slap on an intake. The intake changes things and you need to adjust accordingly. I had a professional shop do mine and the results are outstanding.

Of course... as the ECU needs time to adjust to the new a/f ratio due to the cooler, larger, more fluid port. Like I said in every post. AEM is an awesome intake.

To install a CAI on the 3.8 you need to put in a new washer fluid tank? That one in the pic with the AEM looks horrible...imo of course. Also, I'm still not buying any kinds of real world gains on these CAI's as the car already comes with a CAI essentially.

It seems CAI's are just that mod that everyone has to do first as some sort of requirement for being a "modder".

    I guess I'm just getting old...lol.

how does the GC come with a cold air intake? it takes air through a ram scoop in the front, then it get compressed down into the box where it expands again to get shoved through another tube to get compressed again to the throttle.
Not really a straight through imo.

    G) Have you had a look under your hood.
The stock air supply is not direct in to the intake.
