It should be pretty easy to read a dyno sheet... as the RPM goes up, so does the Horse Power. The one that starts higher but goes down as the RPM goes up is Torque.

I am by no means saying your lying or misleading us. Noone has dyno'd a manual 3.8 with PA reflash and a AEM CAI. But to ensure I am understanding you, you're saying you got 43 HP from an AEM CAI and a standard Stage I PA reflash? No exhaust work?

The reason I am curious is because Arvin is only claiming 15HP/12TQ... If you give the CAI the benefit of 15HP your still getting 13HP over what Arvin said he can get. If you don't mind I'd like to see your dyno print outs when available.

Pretty much all the questions can be answered if you can scan the dyno sheet, then people can see what type of dyno, hp, tq, testing conditions and then they can come to their own conclusions.

If anyone would like to read and help me interpret the dyno sheets, please give me your e-mail and I'll send a PDF scanned copy of them. There are two pages...

    Good Morning ramnj,

I brought the car to TT Performance Parts, Inc. 5 Cardinal Drive, Little Falls NJ, 07424 973-256-1234 ( Please mention this guy Doug Zark with a Red Genesis coupe - might help get you a better deal with referral business. Also please ask for Matt or Bill. Matt is the owner and Bill is the one that worked on my car and did all the research. Both great guys and both amazed at the incredible 43 extra "ponies" Bill calls them... Just over $1,300 for parts, labor, programming, overnight shipping, and dyno testing. They had my car for three days...

    Good Luck !!

so an intake and reflash...those are very good (and believable) numbers! hyundai always has a very conservative tune...always have even with the older stuff.

    Good morning only1db

I know the numbers are good... Just confused between the torque and HP. I did the before and after math and it's 43. We did it at the shop real quick and they agreed. 43 more "Ponies" is the guys quote.

I know the number is good... The power improvement is incredible. I also own the V8 Genesis sedan. That car "was" much more powerful and faster then my "stock" Coupe. Not anymore... I still feel at highway speeds when i dump on the pedal, the sedan will out perform the Coupe, but I still have an intake and exhaust to play with on the coupe.

Two completely different cars and purchased for two completely different driving experiences...

Heading into the New York shortly, take the sedan... Red Coupe car gets too much attention and shifting is a pain in the city... Plus the sound system in the Sedan (I got the tech package that has the upgraded Lexicon) is in a league of it's own. I've never heard a better sound system then the Genesis sedan. It's incredible... You hear every instrument, every nuance, ZERO distortion at full volume...

I needed to share this.. As I previously posted I was getting some work done on my Coupe V6, 6-spd manual (of course-automatic?? WTF?? Why bother..). This is the first Genesis this shop has worked on and they were excited. Great guys...

Anyway, Installed an AEM Cold Air Intake System (looks real nice under the hood) and a VERY professionally tuned Poweraxel Tune Stage 1 Flash - done out of California and shipped to NJ.

First run on the DynoJet increased HP, by 35. Second run added another 4 and the final 3rd run on the Dyno took it to an increase of 43 HP.

The guys were amazed. They are so impressed with the motor and the build of the car. All visitors and other customers were commenting not only on the exterior but the interior as well. I have a Red GT and had the dealer install the stock rear spoiler. The interior is the cool what I call Ferrari Brown.

The increase in HP is so noticeable, redline is now 7,200 vs. orig 6,800. I pop up to 100 MPH in seconds... Downshift at 65 and punch it... Holy sh*t !! I'm at 120 before I know it.. The cars sound is also improved from the AEM.

    All this for $1,000...

If you live in Jersey and want details, let me know...

    Enjoy... I know I am !!

    Later,

    Doug C

This place in NJ knows there stuff...
Question, did you dyno the car just with the AEM and no flash? If you kept getting different results from the dyno it sound like they were messing with the computer and all that power didn't come from the filter, well im sure some did but not that much. Id love to see the dyno sheet.
