you can get a generic oil cooler from Glowshift, might be able to rig that up
The 6at does not get the greatest reviews as being a sporty automatic/paddle transmission. I'm thinking that a valve body upgrade and tranny cooler would greatly increase performance. Especially since many tuners are planning on performing an ecu tune, this additional tranny tune would be most beneficial.
So does anyone know if any tuner companies will be providing this upgrade???

Oil cooler and tranny coolers are 2 different things but if glowshift makes a tranny cooler? Kool.
Any tuner companies out there working on a GC valve body upgrade.
I know the speed shops around Tampa sell universal tranny coolers. They're definitely worth it. It runs just like an oil cooler and helps with tranny temps a ton. My buddy has a fully built car (also a Hyundai, so same quality as the GC), boosted, and is running 3 of them. Hooked fans up to them as well and his tranny runs smooth as stock. Might want to look into that as well...
Here's a few for example...

If you're looking more for a solid, quicker shift, I'm not too sure if one is available for the GC yet. I wouldn't be surprised if Next Generation Motorsports comes out with one soon. I know they made a shift kit for the tib that was quite popular with the forced induction crowd.

Thanks for the info... maybe the forum should start bothering stillen till they give in and make a valve body upgrade for the Genny. They have made them for the nissan line up and they make a super reliable and excellent quality upgrade to the valve body. I have both my valve bodies done in my nissans and it makes a huge difference. This type of tune would really wake the genny up.
I'm going to write stillen about the valve body upgrade.
I hope I make progress? I know snoopy got my back... right?
haha, I'll help you get parts done up but I can't buy them... I don't own a v6.. or an auto tranny. If you need sigs though, let me know!

That's hot. I been tryin to get through to stillen but no word. I think its time to trade my G for a Z and finance a gen 3.8 track. Now I just gotta figure out which colors and I'm set. Before I throw all my eggs in one basket. Lol. I'm a research IPT. I know the valve body upgrade will give the gen the punchyness in the tranny that it needs.
