    yup, not a bad thing. But for most people.. like you said, overkill. If you're looking to get the absolute most out of the car and tweaking it beyond.. it's worth knowing if that extra 5 psi of boost is causing a sticky valve and it's slowly eating it away.

    I think I'll just to to regular oil changes, quality filter & oil, & hope that engineering takes care of the rest.

    I just get regular oil changes every 4-5k. Cars aren't built the way they used to be. Normal oil regularly lasts 5k miles on new cars. I believe anything from 2000+ is OK for 5k mile changes... and I'm not talking synthetic. And as per my local Hyundai dealerships, I should stay away from synthetic as a commuter. They said something like it will hurt more than help. Anybody know anything about that?

    G) synthetic creates less heat less friction and does not brakedown as fast as reg. oil.
    the only thing it will hurt is your bank book.
    I have syntheticin the motor diff. and tranny.
    the most the car drives is about 20 miles a day in the summer.
