2.0T Manual Transmission Replacement
I've been having issues with getting in and out of second gear, at any speed, bliping and not bliping. Today I went to my dealership and had them inspect it, apparently I'm not the only one who's had this issue. They've changed out 2 other tranny's and Hyundai is suppose to be issuing a TSB for it. According to my tech, the syncromesh on 2nd, 3rd and 5th is messed up on 2.0 coupes before a certain build date. If you're having this issue with your car you should go see your service rep.
Rebuilds are what Hyundai wants to do but right now they are just swapping the transmissions with new ones without the problem.

you should take your GC's to the track, and pop the clutch on a few 1/4 runs before you get your Tranny swapped =) lol.
-It's easy to imagine, but it's easier to just do. if you can't do what you imagine, then what's imagination to you?

I thought I heard something about 5th gear being trouble as well.... or maybe that was on the V6 coupes.

I had a similar issue with my auto trans. They replaced the trans mission then put the wrong fluids in which caused me to need a 2nd trans. Be careful with the techs alot of them are really not experianced around the Gen coupes. Also contact your reginal hyundai manager and complain you should get a free 3 year service plan if you push hard enough

wow. i thought it was just me. guess i gotta have this checked out. i always blamed my car for having an attitude problem and not wanting to listen to me sometimes... when it rebels i just haul ass afterwards and make it pant for breath
