Default CrispedPenny Front Mount Intercooler + CAI Install

Packages came in late last week

    Updates:
Installed everything except for the springs, I think we can save that for another day.

    - AEM CAI : Went on smoothly absoutley no problems, filter was a little tight fit when we got the FMIC piping on.

-CX Racing FMIC: Id give it a 7/10. Why? well it came with a BUNCH of random brackets and such. and no guidance or instructions on how to use.
It also came with a cheapy SQV BOV. which didnt really matter beacuse i had an SSQV already. Piping was really nice! I was impressed.

Core itself was okay. had a little weight beihind it, but nothing too serious. It came with two brackets below to mount Which ligned up well and was no problem. Although the two bungs on the top had no place to mount anywhere to with the random brackets. Even so, with the stock crash bar and the below brackets it was super sturdy!

what REALLY pissed me off was the hot pipe off the turbo comes with a bracket that mounts onto the engine itself. the bracket was TOTALLY welded on backwards. which didnt really matter, but kinda upset me beacuse now its just sticking out.
CX racing will be informed :D

Afterwords we buttoned it back up, took it out for a spin, and stupid me, i didnt tighten the couplers very well, so we had to tighten them back up and out for a whip..

It was super nice, def can hear a diffrence with the CAI in place, I hold boost a bit longer which is nice, and overall im very happy!

    PICS BELOW!

nope, NOBODY do business with CXracing, they wont help you at all! they told me that they have sold 50 kits, and nobody has complained, but another member has the same problem, they have lovefabs intake manifold, so its about 2 inches lower than stock, which explains why my pipe dosent line up...

I asked for money to get it re-weleded, and they wouldent even do that! bunch of bums!!

That is such a lame f*cking excuse! I hate when vendors say that "well no one else complained so obviously you're wrong".. Just because of that I'll take your advice and not deal with CXracing.

Dude looks like someone has been doing some early xmas shopping!

Very sweet cold air intake. I noticed it made a huge difference on mine car too. Also consider asking Arvin from PowerAxel about your mods and see if it would warrant an updated tune for the PowerX. Probably not yet with just the bolt ons but maybe soon after you upgrade the turbo or something.
