nope totally different motor...different fuel system, different head ect....the gas induction makes it a totally different beast. it also uses a larger twin scroll turbo and 17psi.

2012 the gdi motor is supposed to find it way into the coupe.

2.0T GDI Coupe will be amazing. I drove the Sonata turbo and that thing is night and day above the Gen Coupe 2.0T

meaning polar opposites.....one is much better then the other. i guess the 60+ hp's and tq make a difference...they just need to put in a 6spd manual! so far that is everybodies big complaint...no manual...if it does i'm all over it and so will alot of other people!

wasn't finished development. The GC has been out since 2008 in Korea (as a 2009 model), so they were going with what they had basically. Another factor is that the Sonata Turbo isn't very tuner friendly with its DI, the exact opposite Hyundai wanted with its GC.

why are people saying that...with the right tuner DI is just fine and you can make more power from it. AND you dont have to worry about upgrading your fuel system. Espeically with more and more cars being DI tuners will be doing really cool things with it.

and yes it wasnt finished yet

with the right tuner DI is just fine
you're absolutely right.. problem though is getting the right tuner and the fact that a lot of current tune shops are not familiar with DI vehicles. I should have phrased that better, sorry.
