    Default cp-e exhaust v. stock

Here's a comparison video for anyone who wants to know about the cp-e catback w/ no resonator. IMO, this is the best exhaust out there for the genesis coupe.

Also I had a question. I've been noticing (since it's summer and i've been using my a/c a lot) that whenever I turn on my a/c while i'm driving soon after i start up the car or sometimes even when i idle for a bit that i hear a short but really nasty grinding noise in the engine. i read up some stuff about bad air compressors that make noises but mine doesnt make the sound after it makes it once. and the a/c works fine. anyone else having this small issue?

I haven't heard that sound at all... but if it concerns you and you can repeat the noise for a mechanic take it in.

Thanks for the video by the way!

What you are hearing is normal noise. Its actually accumulation of R134A inside the compressor, after long periods of non use it will sit in there and the first time you turn it on it has to compress what is already in there. You will hear a very sharp mechanical noise that lasts maybe .25 seconds then it goes away. Its just the clutch actuating the compressor, and the compressor having to work very hard to remove the refrigerant.

Hey i noticed you have the genesis wing emblem installed... i'm buying that kit pretty soon and was wondering how is the installation for the front and back? Been trying to find videos but none are as thorough as i'd want them to be =\

don't worry about installation. the rear one you can just take off since its only 3M tape that's holding it and then just attach the new one on. the front is a bit more tricky and you either have to have small hands or take the front bumper off to make it easier. the instructions come with the badges. no worries man, it's only a 30 min - 1 hr job.

If you're not planning on keeping your "H" badges after removing them, a real easy way to change the front one is to just remove the 2 screws from the back side of the rear badge. The 2 screws hold on the 2 square white clips. Find yourself a drill bit that fits into the holes you removed the screws from and drill through the badge from back to front. Now you have an "H" badge with 2 holes in the front of it. Take the badge you just drilled holes in and line it up over top of your front badge on the car. Using the same drill bit, insert the bit into the holes you made and drill into your front badge on the car. Your front badge will now fall right off the car. If it doesnt fall right off, use a slightly larger bit and make a second pass a little deeper in the holes you just made and it should fall right out. The front badge has no adhesive holding it on, it's just held there with 2 plastic screws that you can easily drill out. It took me about 15 minutes to switch out both badges. 13 minutes of that being taken to slowly work some fishing line into the adhesive on the rear badge and placing an old credit card under it so it wouldn't re-stick after the fishing line had gone through.

Afer removing your rear badge I suggest you get yourself some "Goo-Gone" to remove any remaining adhesive from the paint so that your new badge will have a cleaner surface to stick to.

I also bought the CP-e cat-back and I'm loving it. The fitment was dead on and the sound is really deep. I got mine with the resonator though, I should make a video also and compare the 2 with and without resonator. I've never heard the exhaust from the outside because I'm always inside it. lol
