So I went to Pepboys to find something for my car and this employee I see there all the time comes up says how my car and everything. Then he goes into how his friend had a Tiburon GT, destroyed it, and now has a genesis 2.0 and hates it. He said it was to slow and the turbo was lame. I told him well for a 4 cylinder stock its faster than most other 4 cylinders. This is when he tells me I’ve see nothing and ford is coming out with this new 4 cylinder that would kill the genesis (He can't find a 4 cylinder car built now to compair it to) So I told him it’s a Ford first of all and second you don’t get the point of the genesis. The genesis has nice power for what it is and it is meant to out handle other cars, it’s a track car. I don’t know, he kept going on about the ford and I kept telling him its still a ford and got tired of him and left. Im very happy with my 2.0 and its performance, loved it from the moment I sat in it. I guess Hyundai can’t win them all.

Don't feel bad.. I'm the only 4 cylinder in my car club.. and the only turbo.. so I get hammered with "why not throw a v8 in there?" all the time.

But just so you can argue back if you ever get in that "Ford vs. GC 2.0T" arguement again.. Ford only has 1 turbo solution for I4's, and it hasn't been released yet. It has only been shown in the 08' America Concept, it was a 2.0 Ti-VCT, Direct Injection and turbo'd to 275 bhp and 280 lb·ft, at the flywheel. Pretty much what people running a CMD on the GC are getting.

The only Ford getting a I4 in the near future is the Focus and it's a 1.6T with 150bhp... no GC killer there..

well maybe buddy got confused with the 300HP DURATEC, witch is in the euro ford focus RS but unfortunately the 300H DURATEC is an in-line five cylinder made by volvo witch is also found in the C30T

If someone is gonna argue GC vs Ford just ask them how there locking diff is... o wait Fords all have open diffs... 1 Wheel Drive FTW...

My only comment is that the "Its still a Ford" comment is just as unknowledgeable as the "Its a Hyundai" comments we occasionally hear. There's a reason that Ford didn't need a bail-out. They've been making some quality vehicles. The latest revision of the Mustang, for instance, is a great car and they did a great job on the interior too. That said...if you buy a car after test driving it and then complain its too slow, I have no sympathy. Noone twisted your arm to buy it!
