Since it's still a piggy back you can't download a map from the stock ecu. The tunes/maps for CMD are offsets for the factory tune, IE, CMD wants 90% duty cycle on the injectors, ECU calls for 80%, CMD adds a little juice to the signal before it hits the injectors (or boost solenoid for boost)... Here's a post I had on another forum with links to some base maps Dynojet used to have on their site that you can use as a starting point. The main thing you'll almost for sure have to adjust is the MAP and TIP clamp values. The values I needed were pretty close to the ones in the maps but I did have to adjust them on my car. You can find MAP/TIP logging /clamping instructoins on Dynojets website I believe. With clamps too high the ecu will throw an overboost code and with clamps to low you will create more boost than the tune calls for since the ecu won't see enough boost and keep the wastegate shut... The 24psi map is not a daily driving tune and probably shouldn't be used.

Autotune will only adjust fuel settings based on a lamda value you specify in certain parts of the AutoTune map in the MCC so it's great for fine tuning but I wouldn't slap a GT30 on, crank up the boost, and go for wot runs. You'll have to go in baby steps if swapping turbos.
thank you, this is the info i'm looking for. can you link me to this thread since this quote states there is other basic information about the CMD. two questions though, i'm not familiar with the term TIP. i'm sure we call it a different thing, but what does that stand for? also, what are you referring by "clamps"?

I guess my question is can I just enable AutoTune, load that MAP into the CMD, then drive around, Get Map and then apply changes without any sampling?
IT stores it in basically a temp map while autotune is working, then when you download and apply the trims it adjusts the fuel offsets in the other table. You don't necessarily have to view the data, you have the option to right click in the autotune map and choose "apply all trims". So you could just enable autotune, set .78 for the desired lamda value, drive around, download, apply trims, repeat, or don't repeat...

The GC uses a MAP sensor and TIP sensor isntead of MAP and MAF. Throttle inlet pressure sensor, IIRC. Since the CMD doesn't actually write anything into the ecu, you have to tell it how much boost you want the MAP and TIPS to see, that's the clamping part. Not allowing the sensors to see above a certain voltage so the ECU doesn't throw a fit and an overboost CEL.

I'll shoot you a PM to the thread, not sure the Admin wants me posting it here...

I have a LoveFab crash bar special IC, AEM intake CMD w WBO2 and I am out of stock FIs. In fact I am running lower boost than stock above 4500 rpm. I used Crooked Hs 20 lb tune initially. Went to the 24 lb tune and good lord. Then I got the WBO2 installed and freaked out. Lean as hell at high rpm and mucho boost.

Got the 550s ordered but unfortunately I'm at Gingeran tomorrow and will just have to limp it.

I never got a CEL from any of the tunes. I have added fuel at lower rpms than what they were originally.

I also have turned the waste gate rod back to normal and have removed the second cat. I have a nice shiny 3" after cat down pipe but no sense installing that now.

Yeah Dynojet made those tunes on a stock car so one with any mods will probably need to lower boost or increase fuel, which can be done too much on the top end with the stock injectors.

I'm dropped to 19psi after getting my lovefab fmic too, it leaned me out a good bit on the 20psi tune. I made the same power with less boost though, so I was happy with it.
