    Default cleaning the motor

I was clean my GC the other day and when I was done I popped my hood to check out the fluids and I noticed my motor needs a bath. I know throwing water and soap isn't the safest thing to do, so my question is what should I use to clean it up and keep it that way??

    mouahahah... toothbrush will be long...
I did mine yesterday... Gunk ENGINE BRITE® Classic Heavy-Duty Engine Degreaser

I bag my Forge BOV, fulled my engine bay with gunk, wait 10-15 minutes that the stuff make it happen...

After that just clean it with water... all should be fine... just dont throw water into electronic component to make it "explode" :P
just wash it normally.... if you have air compressor, you can dry off the alternator and all electric that have a bit of water on it...

Can of gunk is about 10$ make a great job... you can add scrubbing the VERY dirty place to make it shine

    My way of doing it

    Simon

P.S. : Engine must be cold with Gunk...
    Til the redline ;)

I've used foaming tire shine before. Spray it on heavy, let it run off then wipe all down with a rag. Over time it will get cruddy (3-6 months) from the heat but it shines right back up with a reapplication.

that stuff to degrease the kitchen oven works pretty well, no harsh smell either.
