I went with Dyno's CDM instead. I like the simplicity. When I upgrade my downpipe I will be adding their wideband2 so I can use autotune.
Has anyone heard about the Next Stage Power Pro 2.0t Genesis? I've been doing some reading on it and from what I've heard so far this is a extremely great deal. Check out the website Road Race Motorsports for the Genesis and tell me what y'all think. I wanna purchase it, but I also don't want to take a chance at ruining my lovely car... Questions, comments, ideas, opinions all greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys.

its a nice product... 1badgenesis has one and he let me run it for a few days and i defff felt an increase in power.
i think that if you plan on doing other things to the car you should go with poweraxle or the CDM instead

I've heard mixed results that it does work and other say it doesn't. I had a problem with my DynoJet CMD unfortunately and had to return it but I'd still recommend the CMD or PowerAxel Reflash over the NSPP.

I considered just getting a professional tune as well but that I read voids your warranty.. so does this, but it is easily reversed so you can take your car in for whatever the reason may be.
Also, the people that claim it doesn't work are simply told to reach the 60mi marker on it (that's apparently when the ECU resets) and that's when the power is noticed. Are there any complaints passed the 60mi marker?
the problems you're talking about only occurred with the 3.8 autos. the nspp works fine on the 2.0 auto and MT.. i'd know because i've driven in nikkos 2.0 auto with the nspp, and it worked fine and increased power in my 2.0 MT
installing and uninstalling the NSPP, CDM, and PA reflash are all very simple. if you have to go to the stealership for anything just unplug the connectors and leave the nspp at home lol

The stealership.. never gets old. But In all seriousness is the CDM and PowerAxel just as easy and efficient as the NSPP? I saw a video of installation of the NSPP
(Next Stage Power Pro 2.0t Genesis [Next Stage Power Pro 2.0t Gen] - $359.00 : Road Race Motorsports -, Your home for Lancer, SX4, Genesis and many more)
and it literally takes just a couple of seconds.. i have yet see a full installation video any other type of ECU Player so I'm a bit skeptical of anything else.
I am way passed 60 miles. I've also played with the maps. It works plain and simple. My plan is add wideband2 with exhaust. Once I redo everything else I'll add custom poweraxle and keep the CDM for fine tuning.
From what I read, you won't need to pay for a tuner is you use CMD and Wideband2
I'm not talking down on your plan or anything but what's wrong with just adding simple modifications such as exhaust and intake while you have NSPP installed? Without touching it, it should by itself up- the horses just as well as poweraxle right?
I think 3 of the 2.0T NSPP users have been complaining about CELs and no start issues with the NSPP installed. One of the users posted a dyno showing a decent gain in power but it was also running a 14:1 a/f ratio which is very bad. RRM basically blamed all the problems the guys were having on adjusted wastegates and other mods. Personally I'd stay away from the NSPP products until RRM can figure out a solution to the problems people are having. Even users of their V6 fuel controller were reporting random CELs when using it...
CMD and PowerX reflash are you best options right now for the 2.0T. Or a combination of the two as Pmastron mentioned is about all you'll need to do anything with the car. Turbo XS also has a reflash option coming out soon for the 2.0T. Using CMD with the Autotune feature will allow you to adjust your a/f ratio with a few clicks of a mouse, meaning you can get a reflash and then adjust it to your car. Any canned tune whether its PowerX, CMD, NSPP, etc is going to be a little off from one car to another due to elevation, variances from car to car, XYZ exhaust instead of ABC... Using PowerX and CMD together allows yourself or any capable shop to get your cars tune just right. Starting with CMD and adding a PowerX tune when you want more power than the stock turbo can provide is the best path IMO. Until CMD can control timing I'm not 100% sold 300whp is going to be safe... I could be totally wrong on that but it makes me a little nervous.
