Default Max boost is 17lbs or 14lbs?

I've recently put a Blox MBC on my coupe and I'm wondering how many lbs of boost should I be getting? I've done a little searching for a for sure answer but I keep getting different answers. I'm getting 14lbs currently.

thats all you get? WOT I get 18-21, non-chipped. Cruising at 60mph it sits at 1-3psi, floor it and rams up to 18.

hmmm...That's the first I've heard of anybody reaching anything over 17lbs with the stock turbo. I'm wondering if your boost gauge is accurate, what brand are you running?

I'm using a GlowShift gauge. It's analog, reads right from the vacuum line. I've hit 22psi but the car went right into limp mode, had to restart to get boost over 10psi.
I thought my gauge was messed because idle it shows 20inHg.
I don't know what to say, I don't think all the 2.0T's are the same in their software because some seem limited, others don't. My altitude is 2500ft if that explains anything.

I have never entered limp mode, and I've had the boost to 24 before I backed off. I redline at 6700 now too. I don't know why either. only mod is CDM which doesn't control redline

After reading that some of you guys are getting over 17lbs of boost I went and cranked up my MBC to see what numbers I could reach. I haven't had time to drive it all that much but I do believe I was getting 17lbs before I went in limp mode. I've heard of "limp mode" before but what a shitty feeling it is when this happens. For who that haven't messed with there GC the limp mode feels like when you get real low on gas and the turbo wont spool up but like way worse.

yeah, limp mode is horrible.. first time it happened I thought I blew my turbo. Only performance mods I have on mine is a cone filter, silencer delete and thats it. Oh, and the newest ECU update from Hyundai.

I currently hit 16PSI with 2 turns on the wastegate. I have a DynoJet CMD but haven't got it hooked up yet. Plan to set it for 20PSI.
