    Default lowering the car decision

I've been thinking about if I should lower the car, a base 2.0, with the eibach pro kit or put the sequence x body kit on.... Well I think I made my decision to go with the springs. Im just not to sure what it will do to the cars handling. I want to stop the slight dipping in the car when you turn and to be able to feel the cars connection to the road when you turn as well. What do you guys think?

I've been looking at kits too, but they all involve tightening and lowering.. I like my ride height, just wish it wasn't so damn rough all the time.
Bilstein Electronic ridecontrol® is what I wouldn't mind, tight for track day, soft for everyday. They just don't make it for the GC.

The ride isn't rough, and the car looks a lot better. I would suggest getting a rear sway bar if you don't have one with the springs. It will make the car handle like a race car around corners.

what you need are some sway bars....turn in concepts has already done their review and feels that lowering the car will through the suspension geometery off....as a matter of fact i had my elantra slammed with TEIN super street coils (looks sweet!) but lots of under steer even with an upgraded rear bar (13mm went to 22mm) so i sent some pics to them and they told me to raise it back so my lower a arms are parallel and MAN what a difference! the coupes arms are already parallel...if you lower it...your throwing it right out.

just save up and get some coils.

A pro kit will is not a problem, and coil for dd is overkill....

I just don't know what to do, everyone everywhere has a different opinion about whats best. I love the look EIBACH gives and reviews too. Coils are mixed and too expensive, the TEIN ive heard are too soft and I don't think sway bars will give me what I want to feel.

Zoile, you have the pro kit on a base or track?

adding just springs will not help overall handling. It may help certain aspects of handling but then sacrafice on others.

not sure how you're planning to do the install but if you bring it to a shop keep in mind it'll cost much more to install springs than a set of coilovers. That negates some of the cost benefits of just getting springs.

def look into stiffening the chasis like only 1db said if its the dip in cornering that you want fixed.

the megan coilovers are good for daily driving, i don't know what kind of rep they have with the hyundai crowd but their suspension is considered a good entry level in other car communities. I've had positive personal experiences with their products.

also for the best bang for the buck when it comes to changing suspension, get your car corner balanced after the new parts are put in.

if you have coils....if just springs...dont think so

and yeah the roll in the corners is due to the ROLL bars...springs will only really help with the weight shift from front to rear...but then you are throwing off the valving in the strut and they WILL fail sooner than later.

and i wouldnt exactly call my TEINs soft (they are made for the gk tib...and i put them on my elantra...a good 300lb difference)
