Question HKS SSQV BOV Kit Question

    Hey all!

I was wondering if anyone had this HKS SSQV BOV Kit installed on their Genesis. The full setup including the piping replacement and locating the BOV near the throttle body.

My second question is does this kit come with a block off plate for the stock location diverter valve? Or does the stock valve stay hooked up too.....

I dont think I've seen any TB side kits actually come with a block off. There could be though.

If you leave the BPV there and connect the HKS to the stock solinoid, the BPV will act as a block off. Well, that's what I've been reading. There was one person where the BPV wasn't "staying closed" but I think they had the PA 20lbs flash and the BPV was leaking.

Actually the ATP pipe comes with the blockoff plate. I'm not sure if the hks one does or not. I would call Andrew at Genracer to find out.

I just installed mine last week, and as far as I can tell it has bypassed/disabled the stock valve completely. I'll be adding block-off plate soon anyway, because there's really no reason to leave the stock valve installed. So to answer the OP's question -- No, it doesn't come with blockoff plate... But the re-routing of hoses disables the stocker.

Yea, I just got done putting mine on tonight. It doesnt have the block off plate, but per the HKS instructions, the hose from the stock valve is still connected to a different solenoid. The BOV is connected to the intake manifold to activate it. (At least I think thats what the thing it said to hook it up to is called. lol) The only think is that it doesnt sound as clear as some of the ones on YouTube at certain times, on the quick test drive there were a few times where it sounded more like an old man slowly breathing out instead of a pshh sound. Oh well, guess it gives me something to read about at work tomorrow. Any advice, knowledge is welcome.
