I found a leak in the connector, haven't tested it since.. got really pissed off with it because I already spliced into my line, the splices sent with the Glowshift are 5/32, and the boost line is 3/4, so I heated and crimped one end so it wouldn't blow through. Then I've had to make some odd mis-shapen adapter from 5/32 to 3/4. The little brass PSI reducer has to be there otherwise the gauge won't work properly according to GlowShift.
I'm waiting for my Gauge pod from Import shark, once it's painted and I do a proper install I'll take loads of pics, and write a FULL walk through because this is one massive headache.
where I spliced in:
like I said, I'll do a full write up. My dad says it should show vacuum at idle because it's sucking air through the turbo at that point, but once I get going it should go to 0 till I make boost.. dunno.. once everything shows up I'll work it out.
** This is NOT a pic of my setup, and I know that the boost line shouldn't be pinched by the zip-ties.

"If it's not nailed down it's mine, if I can pry it loose it's not nailed down."
My Greddy boost guage (intake manifold pressure, based on the ECU) shows vacuum at idle and low throttle, I can easily maintain highway speeds at abou -5psi sometimes more sometimes less (depends on hill - throttle position) but I've never seen it display less than -12psi, nor more than +17.
Idle is generally around -7 to -8psi if I remember right.
More negative is shown during engine braking/coasting while in gear.
Just as a reference for what should be displayed.

Sorry to hear its been a headache snoopy. I do look forward to your write up. I was going to do it today but since you noted the connector GlowShift gave you is to small I'm going to hold off on the install until you do the write up.

Yay! gauge pod finally arrived today, got pics of the unpainted version, taking it to my shop today for some sanding and paint (it's very rough) along with my other parts. Once everything is done probably late thursday or friday should have a walkthrough done.

I just got my Glowshift boost gauge in on Friday. Only took 2 days to receive. I sprung for the nicer one with Peak replay and warning built in. I like looking at the road, not gaugesI'm very impressed it so far, I'm going to put it in the car right now. I'll get back with some a pictures and a better review.
If anyone wants 10% off any Glowshift gauges here is the current promo code - save10feb Also everything on their site is free shipping to the US

a few of us are canadians, and we get screwed by glowshift because they prefer to use UPS rather than USPS or Purolator and cause us to get dinged an extra 30$ for brokerage fees.
Gauge pod painted and installed on friday, did a few hour run with the car, still idles at -20 vacumm, but I peaked around 20psi without hitting limp mode. highway driving it sits between -5 and 0psi runs up to 5-10psi on average acceleration. Do more testing when there isnt so much ice and snow on the roads. Currently I have it set up for always on, it never turns off. Since it's LED and has no other electronic parts it won't kill my battery and since it runs every day I'm not too worried. Now I'm just looking to fill the other two pods, that'll have to wait though, anyone know where I can get some 2 inch rubber plugs?
*note: The importshark gauge pod isn't that great, specially not for the price. Gauges cover over eachother about 1/4 inch, fitment is kinda poor. It was very rough cut and has only one method of securing it by way of a top screw that on mine was incorrectly placed. It's also too short.. it doesn't go up to the headliner properly. They forget to mention to you that you can't use the OEM screw to secure it either, you have to go and buy a new screw, not that big of a deal but really annoying to find out mid-installation.

Sorry you got charged those extra shipping fees, that's a bummer.
I got it installed, it took kind of a long time as far as a boost gauge install should go. This was my first electronic boost gauge install so it's a slightly more complicated install. I mounted the map sensor all low and hidden in the engine bay so I didn't actually have to run a boost line through the firewall. Just the map sensor signal wire. I ran that through the steering column.
With my poweraxel reflash it is hitting 15psi super fast with almost no touch of the throttle. Seems to peak at about 18psi and drops to about 15 by redline. The peak function is Awesome!
The only problem I'm having is finding a constant power source on the fuse block. I tried hooking into a few different ones that I checked with a multimeter that were showing 12v with no key in the ignition. Problem is they drop to about 10v when the ignition is turned on and it seems to be cause the gauge to loose it's memory for color setting and peak warning. Looks like I may have to wire it straight to the battery.
Here's a crappy cell phone pic of where I mounted i, also did a mini review with my cell phone camera. It looks like you can't see my gas gauge but you can. It's only blocking the tach at about 1k, not very important.
